Space for your loss, at your pace.

Grief can affect how you feel, how you relate to others and how you experience everyday life. You might feel sadness, anger, guilt or numbness. Your feelings may change from one day to the next.

When life feels different after a loss

It can be difficult when people around you have returned to their usual routines while your own life feels very different. Counselling offers space to talk about the person you have lost and what life is like for you now.

There is no timetable you need to follow in our sessions. We can make room for memories, difficult feelings, changes in relationships or finding your way through significant dates.

Grief after the loss of a grandchild

Losing a grandchild can mean carrying your own grief while watching your child grieve too. You may be trying to support your family while finding little space for your own feelings, or wondering what to say and how best to help.

Counselling can offer room for your relationship with your grandchild, the loss you are experiencing and the challenges of supporting your child. We can explore ways to be there for your family while recognising your own need for care and support.

Attending alone or together

You can come to counselling on your own. I also support couples who would like to attend together after a shared loss. Each person may grieve differently, and our work can give you space to express and understand those experiences.

Joint sessions focus on grief and bereavement; they are not couples relationship therapy.
